On the occasion of the 8th March, the EMI and its Pariteia partners recalled the need for both men and women to achieve gender equality. They invite you to commit yourself and sign the Charter of Intents for Equal Citizenship.

The Pariteia final conference on "Men and Gender Equality in Europe", organised by the EMI at the Economic and Social Committee on 25 January, was a great success. Vladimir Spidla, Pat Cox and Brenda King welcomed the participants. The Pariteia partners presented the results of the four actions and the Charter for Equal Citizenship was launched...

The EESC will host the final conference of Pariteia on 25th January 2007. The conference will address the role of men in a gender-equality based European citizenship. High-level speakers are expected, including Vladimir Špidla and Pat Cox...

The Pariteia partners gathered good practices that foster a balanced participation between men and women in their five countries.
By means of this document, Pariteia strives to present in detail ideas, projects, laws, tools of various kinds that have already been experimented successfully and that are reproducible at European level, thus attempting to redress inequalities in the society.

From December to January, the Pariteia partners are organising their last local workshop. They will launch the Charter at the local level and gather commitment from multipliers and key actors (both men and women). The next step will be the launching of the Charter of the European level at the Final Conference of 25 January in Brussels

The partners of Pariteia (and all their networks) agreed on the final shape of the Charter of Intents for Equal Citizenship.
The Charter is now available and ready to be spread.

The second phase of Pariteia's action 3 took place recently. The partners debated the last version of the Charter and proposed last amendments. They also discussed the launch of the Charter at the local and national level at the occasion of the last workshop of December.

The Province of Napoli and D&S Group organised their second workshop in the framework of Pariteia, on the 25th September 2006 at the Training Room, S. Maria La Nova Complex in Napoli.
The workshop was organised on the theme “Towards a fairer distribution of the power and the responsabilities in life, job and politics: presence and role of men and women”.

The partners of Pariteia will gather on the 9th October in Brussels in order to assess the state of play of the project and its 5 actions. The partners will discuss the last phases of the project. Most of the partners will have held their second series of local workshops and as a result will come to Brussels with new inputs and ideas. The agenda is as follows...
